Well, it seems that a real run-off will happen on the Big T. this year. Flows can be nearly normal to increasing flows and murky water on the warmer days, either way there are fish all over the river, and they are taking flys!
Try nymphing the edges with #10 Golden stone nymphs when the flow is up and try a BWO when it's in good flow mode. I recommend that the avid angler simply give in and tie some flys or build a fly rod in the next few weeks. The fishing will be so-so, but that's not a bad thing. If memory serves me right, the river will be in prime shape in a week or two or ?
Hey, it's early June and that means that by late June or early July the river should come down and it'll bring with it some great late evening caddis fishing.
Usually run-off brings moaning and cuss words. This year it brings with it the promise of healthy fish populations for us to enjoy. Wait and be patient.... The Big T. will be great this year.
Good luck,
Greg
