Dennis is a freelance writer/photographer with a strong focus on Western fly fishing. He started fly fishing in the southern Catskills about forty years ago, and though he pursues all species, he has a special affection for brook trout and trophy bluegills, which, by the way, he thinks can be every bit as challenging as trophy trout or bass.

In addition to producing, a monthly newsletter Trout Tales, for Bob's Fly Tying Specialties in Loveland, CO, he currently writes a bi-weekly column, Home Waters, for the city newspaper, and a monthly column, Up The Creek, for Colorado Country Life Magazine.

His photos and articles have been published in several outdoor magazines including: The Flyfisher, Colorado Outdoors, Flyfishing Magazine, Fishing Facts Magazine, and several others. He has been a featured contributor to the Colorado Division of Wildlife's Annual Fishing Guide for the past several years.

In case there are any publishers out there, Dennis is working on a collectivity of light essays, observations, and reflections on fly fishing capers he has shared over the years with family and special friends. The book is tentatively titled Fishin' Around, and he is now shopping for a publisher.
